the solutabs have some lactose. some babies react, but it’s not milk protein. no one seems to know if they react to the lactose or the aspertame or the other ingredients in there…

I would give that baby zantac & I would give the MAXimum dose of zantac for her weight (10mgs per kilo- not lbs)

give it 4hrs seperate from the zegerid

give it for a good 14 days and then back off to see how the zegerid is working all by itself

without zantac, it’s as if your baby isn’t on ANY MEDS AT ALL.

we loved caracream. there were lots of mspi babies who did well with it…
anyway, Prevacid 101 should help

ranitidine is zantac, no? zantac is very weight sensitive.

Question:2 or 3 doses? does it matter?

it’s 5-10mgs per kilo
I’d give 10 mgs per kilo until it runs out
& in the meantime find another doctor…

10lbs = 4.5 kilos
4.5 x 10 = 45mgs total for the day
divide this by 15 (see your bottle it says 15mgs/ml)
that’s 3mls a day total of zantac, divided up into whatever you want
it can be 1ml 3 times a day or

I agree w/ the PPI and another formula. in the meantime, we can help you figure out the highest dose of zantac (I think that’s the rantidine) for his weight…
