if so, then it can take up to 14 days to see the full effects of the prevacid and so now, if she was on zantac (or pepcid or tagament or axid), it’s as though she’s not on any medication at all…

hmm…I wonder if swallowing anything other than something ‘soothing’ like formula/breastmilk hurts? I wonder if she’d react the same way to tylenol or something else? were you giving zantac before the prevacid? did she react to that? are you giving any other meds other than the prevacid? because it can take up to 14 days to see it’s ‘full effects…’

go to the upper right-hand corner of this screen & click on ‘search’

and look at what date you choose – I always like to search as far back as I can go (the default is past 6 months & Newer)

your current dose is the maximum dose if she’s 10lbs

10lbs = 4.5 kilos
4.5 x 10 [mgs] = 45
45/15 = 3mls a day

results from it?
it can take 2 weeks for you to see results from a PPI, but usually when you switch from one form to another, or increase the dose, it doesn’t take the full two weeks again. that’s why I’m asking about the compound- they are notorious for being…[Read more]

I think calcium is safe- you’re giving such small amounts- even the aluminum is considered ‘safe’ but most don’t want to give aluminum to an infant…
