hmmm….then I would seek out a Nutritionist/Dietician who can help you make higher calorie bottles, etc…
another thought: cut soy out of your diet as well and try an elemental formula like neocate or elasure? she still may be bothered by the soy? not sure…but if you do go this route, make the transition from the current formula to the next…[Read more]

this means that one time a day, you give 2.5mls of liquid.

1/2 tsp = 2.5mls
your bottle says 3mg/ml

this means for every one ml of liquid you give, there is 3mgs of prevacid in that one ml.

so you are giving 2.5mls of liquid, because that’s 1/2 a teaspoon.

anyway, I would try the 30mgs & after 2 weeks you could try to reduce the dose if you want to see if a lower dose would be sufficient.

the ped GI cannot necessarily tell you if there’s an allergy. Blood in the stool for sure would tell you (they can test poop for occult blood- unseen to the eye). I don’t think there is a too much prevacid- it goes by weight & for many 30mgs a day seems to really help-
I’ve read of 40mgs a day, too – this is with zegerid (made w/ prilosec) – but I think I’ve seen prevacid as high as 40mgs a day
