I’m so happy for you!!! (and a tad bit envious too! )
April 4, 2007 at 8:59 pm #29555AnonymousInactiveYAY!!!! I am so thrilled for you! That is wonderful news!!!!!! I hope it continues and she can be med free! I also hope those teeth pop through SOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!
OK, so I’m totally hogging your thread by posting this picture…but this is how Sarah sleeps for several of her naps now. One of these days she’s going to break her ankle!!! It made me laugh when I was reading about Alana and Myles’ crazy sleeping.
April 5, 2007 at 1:34 am #29573AnonymousInactiveWhat a cute photo…it looks kind of familiar as well.
Alana was nuts last night and I ended up wrapping her so she couldn’t move around…it was driving me crazy!!!! She slept fine from 7pm to 2 am and then she just started waking up all the time in some new weird position with her head or her legs squashed somewhere…I let her sleep with me from about 3.30 and not a peep out of her. I needed to get some sleep cause I still have a cold and feel like sh*t and had to work today.
Its funny how one night she doesn’t wake at all….the only other thing is last night for tea I gave her 1/2 my veges and 1/2 a can of baby food….it was a new one so it might have been something in that. Oh well we will see what tonight brings. At least tommorrow is a Public Holiday for Easter so who cares if I get any sleep!
April 5, 2007 at 9:57 am #29608AnonymousInactiveOh, poor Alana, and poor mum! I know how you feel. Myles is cutting his last molars. He’s got 16 teeth already. You’d think we’d get a nice long break before he has to cut those last 4. Yesterday he only had a 15 minute nap. And last night he was up at 11pm, 4am, 5am, 5:30am, 6am, and up for the day at 7am. Tonight he’s getting Motrin right before bed.
I hope you’re feeling better soon, Therese. And I hope Alana’s bad night was just a fluke.
April 5, 2007 at 8:37 pm #29676AnonymousInactiveWell I think it was a fluke…the terrible night…last night not a peep. OK well about 8.00pm she screamed for awhile but she had leeked through her nappy (never happened before) and her clothes were wet. Do you think it had something to do with daddy doing her bedtime nappy. Once changed and resettled hey presto…didn’t wake until mummy accidently woke her checking she was OK at 6 am.
I think the occasional bad nights might be part and parcel of being 9months old. I’m not calling her reflux free yet…but maybe med free!!!
April 7, 2007 at 11:59 pm #29858AnonymousInactiveWell the lastest is….
Conjunctivitis. I think she has had her little virus for about three weeks. Went to the Dr and he said hang out for another day and if the eyes don’t improve then fill the script for the antibiotic eye drops.
I’m sure I am going to get it…hoepfully Tues which is a work day and I can stay home
The no meds is going well though. I still second guess myself when she is a bit irritable…but I guess if the reflux was really causing her distress then I would know it.
April 8, 2007 at 1:17 am #29860AnonymousInactiveUgh…sorry about the conjunctivitis. That stuff is SO contagious! My whole family had it a few months ago, and we just kept passing it back and forth among each other no matter how much we washed & disinfected.
Good luck. I hope her eyes clear up soon and she gets feeling better.
I’m glad she still seems to be doing well without the meds!April 8, 2007 at 11:53 am #29874AnonymousInactiveI’m glad to hear she’s still doing well without her meds. You’re probably right…most babies will have a bad night from time to time. Myles is waking at 5 am again. I’m hoping it’s just teething.
Sorry about her conjuntivitis. I had that once and it’s really uncomfortable. Feels like you have sand in your eyes. Poor baby. I hope it clears up soon.
April 9, 2007 at 2:13 pm #29930AnonymousInactiveSorry to hear about the conjunctavitis, but yeah for no meds. I wouldn’t worry about the occasional night waking…my GI actually said its pretty normal. Brianna actually wakes up most nights at least once and will cry out for like ten seconds, and then finds her passy and falls back asleep. I never really worried about it becuase isn’t not like she crys and crys, and when she does fall asleep she is still as a rock for the most part…Brianna sleeps with her feet in the crib slats too…in fact some of the time I think Brianna crys out becuase she trys to roll over and her foot is making it so she can’t. I love the pic…I am going to have to try and get one of Brianna.
