??White Blood Cells in Stool??

It seems like I am on here all the time now looking for answers. I feel like I have already learned so much but still have so much more to learn.

Caden had a stool culture done last week because the GI found blood in his stool and wanted to rule out infections. Today we got the results but we dont get to speak to the doctor until tomorrow. The test simply said that “many white blood cells were found.“ Would this indicate a possible food allergy or something else?

Has anyone else experienced this?

We didn’t have this. But I had digestive problems during my pregnancy. I think that white blood cells in the stool can mean inflammation or infection in the colon. Often this can happen from excess diarrhea or irritation. Hopefully someone else will answer.
