when does reflux stop?!

Ashlynn is almost 14 months and still has reflux when will this stop. What age was your lo when they out grew it? Where are going back to the GI dr the 19th of Aug. for a fu to her reflux. I do not feel that she is in pain, but I could be wrong. She is taking Nexium at night (10mg),so night she sleeps good other nights she does not. When it comes to eating she eats everything, if you would let her she proably would eat your hand.haha

When she was a infant she was know has a comfort eater. Do you think that this could still be the case?

When she does reflux she does not spit up. I can just hear it (sounds like a burp). A couple of times last week she had the smell of vomit in her mouth , but she is teething about 4 at one time

I hope this makes a little since becasue I am not a very good typer or speller.

Dylan was 20 months old when we finally got him off of Prevacid (*I think… feels like a long time ago now) but he def. spit up until around 18 months and I thought it would never end. Still a picky eater as I think we had some aversions from the earlier days, but reflux free now for sure and for quite a while now, so you will get there!

Sarah was med free at 18 months. I remember thinking the end would never come!

It’s great that she’s not outwardly in a lot of pain that you can tell. I bet the end is closer than you think! Those darn teeth can really mess things up! Good luck at your follow up appointment and hang in there!!! HUGS!

Thanks girls I gave Ashlynn her Nexium in the am and pm the last two days and she did sleep better, but those darn hiccups. Yesterday she has several episodes of wet hiccups and she has not had this for a very long time.

I was just going to say that maybe a temporary med increase to help her through the teething. Even though we had weaned Landen between 10 months and 13 monts (I thought I never get him off the last tiny dose) we STILL resort to pepcid complete at night b/c of teething. We are finally almost done with teething. The last 1 of 4 eye teeth is on it’s way in. I can hear him glurping a lot too and I attribute it to the teeth. I’ve also busted him drinking Kaden’s soymilk and that REALLY flared him up the last few days.
