what’s that smell

okay grace has been strictly on neocate for a month now. my question is that her gas is sooooooo smelly like rotten eggs and sulfer. my four year old threw up the other morning from the smell

I mean it’s so bad that it clears the room. do any of you mom’s remember the gas problem on neocate???

also her bowel movements are dark green, peanut butter consistency. there is some stringy stuff in it…..mucus. ???there are also bits of green/yellow fatty looking things in it. anyone else have these issues with neocate???? i just want to know what other babies poopie look like when they are on the neocate

yeah thats normal neoacte stuff. its the long chain fatty acids.

the mucous is probably from before, her system if probably still being cleaned out from the old intolerances.

Also bowel movements that are yellow when they run thru their systems faster. The darker colored is some that didn’t run thru as fast. My son’s were always dark green.

Sorry, I can’t tell you anything about neocate, but I can tell you that Hailey has always smelled like foul rotten eggs. In fact, I remember when she was just a day old and we were in the hospital and I told the nurse that Hailey’s gas stunk so bad. When she farts in public I’m mortified. It stinks so foul that I often gag, so I can understand where your four year old is coming from! Sarah has even learned to say “I smell rotten eggs”, LOL!

thanks everyone, hopefully she won’t be farting like this on her first date. that is even if her father lets her go on a first date
