Hi ladies,
I am sure this info is in Hellbent’s fab group intro but I am a little confused (must be the lack of sleep, lol or maybe just my lack of brain!). I
saw the doctor a couple of weeks ago for my son (3 months old with bad reflux – no response anymore to zantac). She prescribed a PPI (Omneprazole). From what I understand, it is better when not made into a liquid. I argued and argued with the pharmacist but he kept on telling me it had to come in liquid form. Finally he agreed to make it up in two week doses instead of in a month’s dose. Recently I ordered a book on reflux which explains why this drug should be taken in capsule form over liquid form. So, I marched down to the pharmacist and had her read that page. Eventually she gave me the capsules and told me I would have to break them apart and give them to my son that way. Now, here is the question: I understand that there is something I can order (buffer babies or some other type of cream – caracream maybe?). Which one should I get and where can I order it from?
Thanks!
Omneprazole
