Sorry if this is TMI but Seth went poop about 5 times today- it wasn’t diarreah and not always a lot just a very soft brown (but he is usually more on the constipated side) and then this afternoon, I was changing him and here’s the weird thing, he let out a toot and a glob of discharge came out.
It wasn’t stringy/mucousy when I wiped it up just gel like. Anyway, he did eat a ton of junk yesterday at his preschool Easter party and then I gave him two Hershey’s minitures out of his stash he brought home. Do you think it is the chocolate that is bothering him? That was really the first time he has really had it with the exception of very small amounts of chocolate cake and M&Ms. I just am worried he may be coming down with something and we have a full weekend planned with the holiday.thankfully, his BMs are pretty much back to normal and he seemed pretty much himself most of the weekend except some brief episodes where he was fussy & uncomfortable like something was bothering him. I hope it was just something he ate. Are there any other signs of an irritated colon and is there a treatment or does it heal with time? I’ll keep an eye on it. He always tells us his bottom hurts, but his ped. said that is proabbly because he tends to be constipated.
We go back to the GI in about a month for the reflux and I am going to run all this by him.
