Well we have been on prevacid 3x’s a day at 7.5mgs per dose and simply thick added to bottles and I am happy to report that Grant is eating 4.5 ozs – 5.5ozs every 3 .5- 4 hours. Yesterday he actually took 27 ounces compaired to his normal 23/24 ounces which is still up from his 15-20 ounces!!! I am a little concerned about the sodium benzoate so I am going to try and make the simply thick myself. I am also still concerned on why he needs the simply thick so I will discuss that w/ the dr. on the 17 of March. But for now it’s working so I won’t dwell to much on the other stuff. I see our peds dr. on March 4th and I am dreading having to tell her that I bumped his meds but again it’s working so 😛 if she says anything. Well I jsut wanted to share 🙂

have you tried the rtf of the isomil?? instead of adding simply thick to the powder…

the rtf is thicker and my daughter has always drank more of the rtf’s…

Yes and he still chokes on the RTF. I waiting to see the GI and maybe he can give us some tips to get off the simply thick. I was also thinking that maybe when he is a bit older I can try the rice or oatmeal with the RTF and just use less.
