I’m sorry to hear she can’t eat until testing is completed but that does make sense. Poor little sweetie.
I wouldn’t worry too much about the height thing yet. I took Liza once to the doctor and she shrunk! Obvioulsy it was a measuring mistake by the nurse the time before. Also I measure my kids from time to time and I can measure them three times and come up with three different numbers. So, hopefully it was a mistake and she’ll show a gain in height next time.
Good luck with all of her tests and please keep us posted.

Iam sorry i haven’t come in while. Out of town doctors’ appoinment sure tired you and baby out.Well Kendra has the emptying scan done and had VERY delayed gastric emptying The Gi wanted to try Erymothin (sp?) and iam a bit worry b/c some of the side effects are rash and diarhria (sp?)and she already has rash and eczema problems and her poos are not pretty.iam kind of relief that now there is a reason for her puking, her lack of appetive and the fact she can only have 4.5 ounces of milk at a time. We are schudule for an Upper endoscopy on August 8th. now we just have to wait and wait and wait ( can you tell i lke to wait).Anyways, thanks everyone. I might be taking a break to try to cath up on house things and maybe some sleep.I missed you all!June 29, 2007 at 7:55 pm #38300AnonymousInactiveHi Leo,
I’m glad you finally got some answers. I hope the Erythromycin helps Kendra and she doesn’t have any of the side effects. Bryce has done so well with erythromycin. It helps him so much. He didn’t have side effects from it at all, but I know every baby is different. Sorry you have such a long wait for the endoscopy! Good luck with everything!June 29, 2007 at 9:01 pm #38301AnonymousInactiveThanks for the update. I know Myles’ problems don’t compare to Kendra’s, but he had DGE too. He never ate more than 5 ounces at a time, and 3-4 ounces was the norm for him. I was always amazed at how little he could take in, puke out, and still grow. His doctor said most babies outgrow DGE and that as long as he was growing, not to worry. Sure enough he did outgrow it, around 13 months of age. I knew when he had outgrow it because he became interested in food, was hungry more often and he began eating much bigger meals.
I hope Kendra outgrows her DGE soon. Get some rest, but please keep us posted on your little sweetie. -
