that was easy!!
April 4, 2007 at 11:15 pm #29564AnonymousInactiveThat is awesome. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let us know how it goes.
April 4, 2007 at 11:37 pm #29568AnonymousInactiveWonderful!
When we started on the marci-kids dose, I noticed some improvement at 12 days, but the most drastic improvement at 24 days. So give it time, don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t improve really quickly. Good luck!
April 4, 2007 at 11:56 pm #29569AnonymousInactiveThanks for letting me know that. I am impatient and would have gotten frustrated quick if there was no omprovement.
Question, do I have to time out the doses exactly 8 hours apart around the clock? Or just three times during the day between the time she wakes up and the time she goes to sleep?
April 5, 2007 at 1:19 am #29572AnonymousInactiveAwesome news!
We just do the 3 times during the day. We give Bryce his meds at about 7:30am, 2:00pm, and 8:00 (it varies a little).
Good luck with the higher dose!
April 5, 2007 at 1:36 am #29574AnonymousInactiveThanks!
April 5, 2007 at 5:48 am #29586AnonymousInactiveCongrats. I hope you see some improvement really soon. She is very cute
April 5, 2007 at 7:11 am #29594AnonymousInactiveThat’s great!
April 5, 2007 at 8:19 am #29595AnonymousInactiveWe did our doses 8 hours apart, but that is because Justice was awake at night anyway. He got his at 8 am, 4pm, and 12 am. I don’t think it has to be 8 hours apart. Dr. Phillips recommends first thing in the am, dinner time, and bedtime. Of course, I think he also thinks babies go to bed late. My friend did 5 hours apart. I think as long as you are getting it in 3x a day it doesn’t matter a whole lot. Maybe if your not seeing a diff, play with it a little. I’m sure you’ve answered this already, but what med is she on?
April 5, 2007 at 9:52 am #29605AnonymousInactiveThe right dose of Prevacid was the miracle cure for my little guy! I hope it’s the answer for your little sweetie. She sure is adorable!!! I love the new pictures. Especially the ones of her in the sink, in the grass, and covered in green stuff in her high chair.
I gave Myles his Prevacid at 6:30 am, 2 or 3 pm, and 7 – 7:30 pm. It worked fine for him that way. For Myles we saw the big turnaround at 10 days, but it does seem to take a little longer for most babies.
Good luck and please keep us posted.
April 5, 2007 at 10:01 am #29610AnonymousInactiveShe is on Prevacid. I asked the ped to switch her to Zegarid so i didnt have to do the 30 minute wait out because thats so inconvienant and hard with a baby but he pulled out his medical book and showed me where it said not to give it to children. He said he would have to do more research on it because he had actually never heard of that medication until I brought it up to him.
April 5, 2007 at 1:21 pm #29625AnonymousInactiveWell, Prevacid has helped alot of babies here, including mine. It is inconvenient to time around meals, but that does get easier as they get older and their schedules become more predictable. So, I’m excited for you that he went with the marci-kids dosing on Prevacid.
April 5, 2007 at 3:32 pm #29639AnonymousInactiveWhats the difference between reflux and silent reflux?
April 5, 2007 at 6:09 pm #29661AnonymousInactiveUsually a baby with reflux will spit up or throw up alot as well as have acid backing up and burning them.
In silent reflux the baby doesn’t spit up much, or not any more than a non-reflux baby (most babies spit up at least some), but they do have acid backing up and burning them.
