It sounds like I am in very good company with the Chanel No 5…really I was hoping that some of Nicole Kidmans skinny would rub of..or at least I might meet the man in the Chanel advertisement.

I’m new to probiotics and haven’t tried them yet, but I keep reading about them and am wondering if they would help Caden with his bms too. He still has runny bms sometimes, and I’m wondering if that would help him a bit. I have read that you can find them at a health food store, but how would I know how much to give him? Are they designed for infants as well as adults?
Thanks!

But I went to the health food store and asked re probiotics. They had some for 1yr and up but not infants. The naturopath at the store just suggested halving the 1yr dose (although Alana is the size of a 1yr old so it probably wouldn’t matter). I also asked the pharmacist who said there weren’t any. I think some people have got theirs on the net?
Let us know how you go if you try some.

BTW, love the new pic and ticker Therese!

What specifically is it supposed to help with? Or is it just general intestinal regulation? I’m just wondering if it would be something to try with Caden. Basically, he has watery poos sometimes, but other times he has perfect looking bms (mustard).
Thanks

when she is on antibiotic we start with 1/2 of teaspon three times day for three days and then 1/2 teaspon a day until the bottle is gone. we buy at our helath food store for $18. make sure is the refrigerated kind. that limk contains general info about probiotic in general and why they are good for the guts
April 21, 2007 at 8:46 pm #31137AnonymousInactiveEmily, I think they are just for good intestinal health…for the same reason we adults take them I suppose.
April 23, 2007 at 1:48 pm #31236AnonymousInactiveThanks everyone. I went to Central Market (a specialty grocery store) today and bought a brand called Baby’s Jarro-Dophilus. It’s specifically for infants and children up to age 4. I plan to try it with both Caden and our 3 year old.
