Do I have unrealistic expectations? I would think that if my ds is taking this medication (prevacid, zantac, and now levsin), he should be able to eat well (at least 90% of the time), sleep at night without waking up with a sudden cry and requiring me to rock/bounce/pat for 20 minutes to get him back to sleep–then only sleeping for 1-2 hours to start again; and not have periods during the day where he suddenly screams/stiffens his legs and clinches his fist with an awful look on his face.
Is it just me?? I see so many people writing about no sleep and their child is on medication. Is there only so much that can be done in this day and age?
Are we just not on the right dose OR right meds? Do I need to push for more?
I had the same problem with my now 3 yr old (almost 4) dd. She still takes Prevacid and Bethanechol but is weaing.
Glad to hear your story.
