I took Sarah into her ped. today for her cold and when he checked her ears he informed me that her tubes are working themselves out! WHAT!?! I’m still paying for them!!
No really, it’s not funny! Her ENT told me that they typically stay in for 6-18 months. Looks like we bought the 6 month pair of tubes. UGH! What sucks is that it already looks like she is borderline getting an infection. We don’t go back to the ENT until January 18th. I’m guessing he’ll suggest another set of tubes since she probably hasn’t outgrown her tendency for getting infections.

I feel your frustration! We’ve had infections recently with tubes –which does seem to help having them, but it’s still hard!! Ours seem to be doing the job and we’re on month number 5 so I’m hoping I bought the more expensive pair!!
Sorry, probably not funny!One thing to look forward to is that Griffin had bad infections until the winter he was about to be 3 so hopefully this is your last year of them?? He had only one last year. Just don’t have a second child cause you get to go through it all over again!Hope winter passes fast for you!!OH NO!!! I totally understand your frustration! We’ve just recieved the bills for Ben’s surgery, and I think it will take us AT LEAST 6 months to pay for them, so those things had better last a while!! He’s got a nasty head cold right now, so I’m waiting to see if they do their job and keep him infection free.
Maybe you can ask the ENT for a repeat customer discount??!!!
