So I have been on a modified elimination diet do to blood in McKenzie’s stool (no soy, wheat, eggs, milk, peanuts/treenuts). Once we got her on the compounded prevacid she started doing much better. I trialed wheat and within 24 hours McKenzie was a different baby, back to fussy and uncomfy, so I took it out and she was better. This week I am trialing soy. Here is what I have noticed so far and tell me what you think. She is fine while she is eating…passes gas, sometimes stinky but doesn’t seem bothered by it. However, last night she slept until 4:40am and I went to feed her. She fed fine but afterwards seemed to have a lot of air bubbles in her. I went to put her down and she just had a hard time getting comfy. She woke up at 6:30am and was pretty screamy so I tried to calm her down and nothing really worked. I gave her the prevacid and had to wait 20 min…she was VERY fussy and once when she passed gas she did cry out…but when she fed at 4:40 she really didn’t eat that much so I am not sure if she was just hungry. While she was eaing she was passing gas too, but not bothered by it at all, and after feeding while she was playing with her daddy she passed more gas, but again not crying. Also I have noticed when she is on the changing table she is being a but more squirmy…almost like she is trying to stand up. Does this sound like it might be the soy bothering her? She won’t have any of the other intolerance symptoms (exema or anything) …she is like Brianna..it is just internal bothering for her. What do ya’ll think.
