I’m late on this, and can’t really vote either, but I’m also one for keeping kids in the crib as long as possible (or until a sibling comes along!) We’re hoping to get pregnant again soon, so she’ll be older and it won’t be an issue, but when I thought we’d be having a 2nd when Dagney was only 26 months, I actually considered trying to find a 2nd crib so that Dagney didn’t have to give up her crib. She’s never tried to get out of the crib either (knock on wood!), and would probably do ok in a bed, but I don’t know that I’d be ready to let her out of the crib then! It is hard, though, when you go to visit family/friends who don’t have kids, and you either have to bring the little pack & play or figure something out. We”re going to visit my dad next week, and luckily he’s got a porta-crib there, it’s not luxury, but it’ll do.
