Thanks so much!! It is so nice of you to call for me!! Last time I ordered them on a Friday, they came on Thursday, so this time I ordered on a Monday and I’m hoping to see them by Friday. That will mean just one day without them, so I can stick to the elimination diet foods that day. Thdbks again for your help, it is really nice of you!! By the way, my name is Katie Richardson. š

when/if you have a chance:could you type up a little blurb? I’d love to have your info regarding how you’re doing the TED, what’s worked, how you know it’s working, what’s helped (ie: following advice from links here, like ‘Erin’s Sticky’ ) & when you started to see results, etc.I ask bcse people (mainly mamas) come to this site when they’re desperate and people who have ‘moved on’ aren’t around anymore to ask questions, etc…That’s ‘why’ I had Erin (erintx) type up her story/advice/protocol and I made it a sticky (post that ‘sticks’ to the top of a forum)…thank you so much!lauraAugust 8, 2012 at 2:28 pm #70699AnonymousInactiveJust called Chris and asked about your order. He says it should be there today or tomorrow. My shipments normally take just 3 days so hopefully your comes soon.
August 8, 2012 at 8:10 pm #70705AnonymousInactiveSure! And thanks again for calling for me!
My journey with my infant’s MSPI (so far…):
My little girl was a champion breast feeder since birth. She gained weight well from day one, and developed a slight reflux around 2 weeks of age. But for the most part she was unaffected by her reflux and was labeled a “happy spitter”. Nothing really to be concerned with. So i gave up obvious dairy at that time with no change. Then around one month of age, we saw some blood in her diaper. I immediately took her and the diaper to the pediatrician, and he said it was minimal blood and only to be concerned if I see more diapers this way. He said that since my husband and I appeared to be getting sleep and that the baby was eating and gaining, that there is likely not an allergy. So, we kept an eye on things and a few weeks later, the stool started getting green and mucousy. I called the doctor, and he again was not concerned. After some research of my own, I thought it may have been a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance. So, I made the recommended nursing adjustments to combat that and saw no change. In the mean time, our little girl was waking to what seemed like painful, difficult to get out bowel movements. I called the doc agsin with the same response. I decided to take things into my own hands and try the Dr Sears Total Elimination Diet. This was very hard for me, so i did a modified version. I ate only rice, potatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, pears, turkey and chicken for 2 weeks. Day one and she didnt spit up once! Her poop gradually turned more yellow and after the 2 weeks there was no mucous at all! We still had some green, but nothing too concerning. We then had a 2 mo well check up and i told the doc about my diet and brought him some diapers and again, got a very unconcerned response from him. Since the poop was still a little green, I figured we hadn’t quite nailed it yet. Since I was quickly losing weight and milk supply on the diet, I decided to try probiotics/enzymes instead of further eliminating more foods. I was also very inspired by Martha’s blog regarding her success with Core Health’s Digestive Health pills! I ordered some and started about 3 pills/day with meals. Not a whole lot of change. I wondered if they were working “behind the scenes” and found out they were not by accidentally eating wheat and soy and seeing some pretty negative effects in my daughter after that. Martha recommended I up the dose and I doubled it to 6-8 pills/day and saw results in about 4 days. Not only do we have nice yellow poops, but they seem to come out much easier than before! During those 4 days i was eating pretty much all fruits and vegetables, turkey, chicken, beef, pork, and still staying clear of dairy, soy, wheat, eggs, and nuts. Knowing that she reacts to wheat, I tried a few bites of some bread and 3 days later, no reaction! So, now I’m waiting for more pills in the mail and I’m excited to keep introducing foods to my diet.
I will continue to update on this site with my progress!

August 8, 2012 at 9:06 pm #70706hellbenntKeymasterwow! thank you so much! I have to figure out where to ‘put’ this, lol.
but no, I’ll save the link to this thread (topic w/ responses) and provide it for mamas looking for support w/ the TEDAugust 30, 2012 at 5:17 pm #70876AnonymousInactiveHow’s it going Katiric? I hope still well!
August 30, 2012 at 9:21 pm #70877AnonymousInactiveHi Martha,
It’s going pretty good. I still haven’t had any luck adding any dairy, soy, or wheat, but at least I can maintain with everything else and the pills. I had just a touch of yogurt butter on Saturday and we saw blood in the stool and mucousy green today. š
But like I said, other than that, we are doing great!
Thanks for checking!

August 31, 2012 at 8:44 am #70879AnonymousInactiveI’m glad things are still going well. I would wait till you/baby have the Digestive Health pills in your systems for at least 60-90 days before adding in dairy or soy. That way the digestive system will have time to be repaired and built up.
Thanks for keeping me posted! š
October 5, 2012 at 2:40 pm #71028AnonymousInactiveHi there,
thought i would post an update. i had been taking the core health products digestive health pills, and again, ran out before i had thought to order more. A friend had recommended a local “raw” store here in Chicago that i check out, and I went there to see what they had. The probiotics and digestive enzymes appeared to be VERY comprehensive, even more so than those from Core health, so i gave them a try while i waited for my Core Health order to come in. Well, they were GREAT! i didnt really notice a difference immediately in my own health or my daughters, i had still been managing my diet pretty strictly at this point. however, I had to go to a customer lunch where i knew i would be “cheating” a little bit on the diet. Well, 4 days after my cheat, no reaction, 7 days after, no reaction, 10 days after, NO REACTION! I was very excited. so, I waited a few weeks, and tried again. I ate some cheese on my tacos, and again, NO reaction! I waited another few weeks, and went to the apple orchard with my family, and just couldnt resist a cinnamon apple donut. It has now been 5 days, and no reaction to that! I am so excited that I have finally gotten to a place where my daughter doesnt react to the dairy, gluten, and soy that i might eat. the last thing to try is soy, and i will do that in another couple of weeks before i go full boat. if you want to look at what I am taking, it is called Karyn’s Raw in Chicago, and her digestive enzymes and probiotics are all vegan and are gluten free.i am so happy we are where we are at this stage, because my daughter is 5 months old yesterday, and we will be starting solids in another month.thanks so much for all the advice and support, i owe it all to you gals to have helped me get to the bottom of my daughter’s green, mucousy, poop!October 5, 2012 at 5:14 pm #71029AnonymousInactiveI am so glad that things are continuing to improve for you! š That is awesome!! I looked at the link and I can’t find the list of ingredients so I can’t see how they compare to Core Health Products but from what I can see they look good! It is rare to find supplements that compare to Core Healths Products’s so that is neat that you found something local that does compare! And getting results is what counts!! š I see that their enzymes and probiotics are separate. Are you taking both or just the enzymes?
It pleases me greatly to be able to help a child and mother find relief!!!! Happy Mom2012-10-05 17:25:21
October 6, 2012 at 12:24 am #71033AnonymousInactiveI looked at the website again and see that Karyn has a cafe. Did you eat there? It looks good! š I really like her concept and way of thinking etc.
October 6, 2012 at 9:25 am #71034AnonymousInactiveYes, i’m also taking the probiotic.
These are the ingredients on the enzymes bottle: Amylase, glucoamylase, protease 4.5, invertase, alpha-galactosidase, prctinase, protease 3.0, lipase AN, protease 6.0, lactase, cellulase, bromelain, papain (no sulfites added), blue green algae, kamut grass, kelp algae, gentian root, cayenne pepper (fruit).
The probiotic has 14 strains and: lactobacillus acidophilus, bifidobacterium infantis, lactobacillus lactis, lactobacillus reuteri, bifidobacterium longum, lactobacillus plantarum, lactobacillus salivarius, streptococcus thermophilus, lactobacillus brevis, bifidobacterium bifidum, lactobacillus acidophilus DDS-1, lactobacillus bulgaricus, lactobacillus casei, lactobacillus rhamnosus.
October 6, 2012 at 9:31 am #71035AnonymousInactiveOh and yes, I’ve eaten there twice now! It’s sooo good!! It’s great to go to a restaurant and say I’m soy, dairy, and gluten free and have them look back at me and say, “no problem!”. I also pick up things to keep at my office, as they have a little stock of groceries. it’s really a great place.
October 7, 2012 at 12:14 am #71036AnonymousInactiveWish I lived near so I could go eat there with you! š
The ingredients in those supplements look great! The probiotics are almost identical to Core Health Products . The enzymes look somewhat the same but not totally. But getting results is what counts.
Do you feel that Karyn’s supplements actual help more than Digestive Health or is it that she has been on them long enough that they are starting to effect more. Be honest about it. š I am loyal to Core Health because not only has their product helped me and my children so much but they have been so personal and helpful in answering so many questions that I have myself and for others. But I am interested in what/how the ones you use help too. In all honesty I have never yet seen any product that came even remotely close to Core Health until now.

October 7, 2012 at 10:46 am #71038hellbenntKeymasterso happy for you & your baby! as for starting solids at 6 months- no rush! she has a sensitive system- look for posts about starting solids- I did baby-led weaning (the term weaning is the european term for starting solids- not what we mean as stopping breastfeeding all together!) also known as baby-led solods. my computer fried (, so I don’t have any links handy, but it’s all here
Please tell how you started the probiotics & enzymes [oops! I see that you did!], how did you know how much to take, how long it took to see results, etc..also: will you be giving your baby probiotics & enzymes when you introduce solids? or only if it seems that your daughter is having difficulties/reactions?hellbennt2012-10-07 11:01:17
