I just wanted to say thanks to those who encouraged me to start my daughter on solutabs. They have made a huge difference for her and after seven months of frustration, we are finally enjoying being parents!
I haven’t told my daughter’s story on this board yet, so here goes. She was born at 27 weeks weighing just 2 lbs. She was diagnosed with reflux in the NICU and sent home three months later on compounded prevacid (made by the pharmacy). While the medicine helped, things were far from perfect, plus she developed colic after she came home. She started refusing the prevacid when she was 6 months old. We tried her off of it and she “crashed” – refused the bottle, cried with feedings, etc. It was miserable around here. We started her back on the compounded prevacid, but no difference after 2 weeks. After the advice I received on this forum, we switched her to solutabs. What a difference! Even the night we first tried them, she was a different baby. She’s been on them for a week and she is finally a happy, playful baby. I wouldn’t have even known solutabs were an option except from this forum.
