I wanted to let everyone know that I have declared Sarah’s milk trial a success!!! She has been taking 10+ ounces a day for two weeks and she’s doing great! She loves milk!!! She’s still eating yogurt everyday and cheese etc…so I’m THRILLED to say that I think our MSPI days our behind us!!! Sarah even weaned HERSELF from all her bottles. She wouldn’t take them anymore. She was down to just her night bottle and a few nights ago while snuggling before bed she spotted her sippy cup on the floor and jumped down to get it. That was the end of the bottle!! She won’t take it anymore! So we’ve evolved to a sippy of milk before bed. I’m sad she won’t snuggle with me with the sippy like she did with the bottle, but she’s a “big girl” now so I’ll just have to get my cuddles throughout the rest of the day!
I wanted to post under this thread because our joy might be short lived for other reasons…I am now officially continuing her wean from Zegerid. I took out her afternoon dose today leaving only her night dose. I am optimistic that she’ll do well HOWEVER I think she is teething so I’m bracing myself for a rocky few weeks ahead. She has been very aggressively sort of scratching the inside of her mouth and then trying to bite things. She has never been a biter before so I’m leaning towards teeth. I don’t feel anything yet, but I’m going to keep TEETHING in mind when I start to freak out in a few days that the wean isn’t going well. I just wanted to update everyone and say a big THANKS for all the support! Don’t worry…I’ll still be around pulling my hair out over the rest of her wean but the support here is PRICELESS and I don’t know what I would do without you ladies!!!
