So I have decided it is time to be alittle more adventrous with Cooper’s food. I was at the grocery store this morning and I was looking at the bread. Poor thing has never had a piece of toast!! As I was reading ingridents everything looked fine until I saw soy fiber in most of the breads. with MSPI do we need to worry about this? Cooper is fine with dairy as he has been on whole milk now for about a month and eats yogurt daily and cheese multiple times a week, but I haven’t done any soy with him so the soy fiber concerned me. If he is okay with dairy shouldn’t he be okay with soy? I am just so afraid to rock the boat.
It might be a good test, Beth. I would think the amount in the bread is small, so maybe just give it a go for a few days and see what happens. I know you can find bread in the bakery that doesn’t contain the soy or milk, but most brand name ones do, for whatever reason.
Go for it!!! I highly doubt he’d have trouble with soy if he’s been doing so well with milk, but it’s possible. I think it would be a good test to see if it still bothers him, and just think of all the other foods he could eat once he clears the soy hurdle 🙂
