I know your frustration. Due to this lousy reflux thing I felt like I survived Eliana’s infancy and never enjoyed any of it, and with Myles it was the same thing until very recently. It’s so unfair and so miserable. But please be encouraged that it does get better. Especially if and when you get her meds increased. Prevacid once per day just is not enough. A second opinion is definitely a very good idea if they don’t increase her dose.
It really does get better. Things were so bad with Myles that I thought I’d lose my mind from the stress. It was unbearable and I wonder now how I survived with the lack of sleep, the constant feeding problems, the continual throwing up. It was horrible. BUT Myles is finally throwing up less, and his pain has been controlled for a long time now (3 months) with the correct dose of Prevacid. So, even though he still has reflux, it seems to be getting better and life as a mommy is mostly good again.
I wish you the very best tomorrow and hope that you get answers from the endo and hopefully an increase in meds. Please let us know how it goes.
