Evie had her 4 month shots on Wednesday (today is Sunday) and she is fussy AND super sleepy. Way more than normal, but not lethargic or constant fusiness. Is 4 days too long to be feeling like this? I acutally posted a similar question around her 2 month shots with her being like this, I just don’t remember it being this long. Also, we had a mucousy diaper. Anyone heard of shots (or the subsequent Tylenol!)causing mucousy diaper? Could it be that we are trialing sweet potatoes and we should quit??? Evie will be 5 mos. on Tuesday. Thanks for any input!
I know that Claire reacted to every vaccination that she ever got by being fussy and sleepy, and some of them seemed to be days later. I’m not sure how many days though, so I guess it could be the vaccinations.
Hey, Katie, I meant to add the other day, that the oral rotovirus vaccine really messed Ben up. Did Evie get this? It most certainly could be the cause of the mucousy poops. It was for Ben.
Yes, she did get the rotovirus oral vaccine! I’m relieved about it maybe not being the veggies, although, I decided I’ll hold off on more veggies until she is 6 mos. anyway(like I was supposed to!!). Was that the only side effects you remember??
He was fussier and his reflux really flared up. It took several days for it to subside. His poo even had black specks in it for a day or two afterward. It really freaked me out. I wasn’t sure if it was the vaccines or the tylenol, but he takes tylenol now with now problems, so I’m guessing it was the vaccines.Bensmama2007-07-16 19:56:32
Like Ben, Dagney was hit hard by the rotovirus vaccine. She slep a lot, was fussy, and her reflux really kicked up for a while, maybe even a week or 10 days, it was a rough one…and then she got the rotavirus anyway a few weeks later, but not as bad as it could have been thankfully!
