Reglan

We saw our GI today and after hearing our symptoms he suggested Reglan for DGE. Currently, the baby is only eating 1-2 oz. per feed so about 14 oz./day. She’s 2 months old, 12 lbs. and even though eating little, is thriving. She also vomits and spits long after she eats. He reasons she may have DGE which is why she cannot/will not eat much and spits/vomits much later.

BUT, I know the side effects of Reglan can be wicked. I’m so afraid I don’t even want to try. I see others are doing well on emycin. Why don’t they prescribe that first if it works and is safer?

Anyhow, has anyone out there had any good experiences/results with Reglan?

some have reported that using reglan in dosing LOWER than prescribed has been ok (kinda funny as we all scream for HIGHER dosing of most meds)

if you see undesirable side effects, give benedryl
