REGLAN

I called the dr. and asked for a prescription for zantac with the already prescribed previcid. He called in Reglan. I wanted something for pain. I will not give my ds something that has that type of side effects for something he really doesn’t need anyhow. Has anyone used reglan? Now I’m concerned about this pediatrician now. He comes highly recommended but I’m not sure now if he’s prescribed reglan. Also, I’ve ordered the neocate. I’ll give it a try to see if it helps.

I’d give it a try. I towrked for JEdd but we DX it due to extreme crakiness.

Think screaming ALL day LONG non STOP!!!!!!

The side affects are totally reversable. At first sign of the reactions we were told to give benedryl until the symptoms went away.

BTW I would think the Dr would have wanted to talk to you about the side affects and how to mangae them if they popped up….weird that thye didn’t….our’s (pedi) had a long discussion with us before writing the RX for Reglan….hhhhmmmm

if baby has verified DGE (delayed gastric emptying) or even if you’ve discussed the possibility of DGE…but from your other posts, etc, just tell ped you need appt. w/ ped GI and that’s that. if you don’t need a referral, make the appt yourself…

That is weird that he just called in reglan without even speaking to you about it, esp when you asked about zantac. Obviously you are doing everything you can for your baby, you are an amazing advocate for him. Keep it up mama, you will find a good Dr. that will support you & your efforts!!
