Our ped just put our little guy on Reglan and it is supposed to be given 30 minutes prior to eating. She also put us back on Axid (similar to Zantac). Do we give him both at the same time? Or the Reglan first then the meal then the Axid? I’m not really sure. He doesn’t NEED the Axid in terms of his comfort level…we’d already weaned him successfully off the Zantac about a month ago, but we were told Reglan has to be given in addition to Zantac (or similar) drug. Help?

I would research reglan…it is for DGE, Delayed Gastric Emptying. Has your baby been tested for this? any reasons to think baby has this? many peds (& even GIs) give reglan ‘just because…’

Yes. He has DGE it was confirmed a few months ago. I’m only looking for info on the timing of giving it and the Axid to him.Maureen2009-01-21 12:08:29
