Reflux help when teething

Hi. My 15 month old has been on Zantac for refulx since she was 3 months old. We have tried weaning her three times with no success. For the most part the meds work, but when DD is sick or (currently) teething, she has horrible coughing epsiodes when trying to sleep.

Have any of you experienced the same thing? Is there anything that works? Should I talk with the doctor about switching meds?

teething can exacerbate the reflux.
the extra saliva has histamine in it, so you can give benedryl on an especially ‘bad’ night. you can also try rubbing some benadryl right on the gums, too.
