The blood test isn’t going to show intolerances and with her age may not even show allergies. They tend to be unreliable until they are at least 1 yr old… usually recommend older. We did rast testing, but only for egg and only after he tested positive via skin prick. Hopefully some other moms will chime in, but if you are concerned about intolerances the RAST test will not tell you if they are there or not.
My 6mo ds just had RAST blood testing & while he is intolerant to MANY things the blood test showed nothing ‘abnormal’ whatsoever. We mainly did it b/c we were already taking my 2yo in to get the bloodwork so I figured to do them both just to see.
I agree w/both Beth & Erin. Intolerances aren’t going to show up and even if your DD is allergic it may not show up either. I was told the recommended age is 18mths and older. My DD had the rast testing which came back neg for everything…We know she has issues w/milk b/c she had blood in her stool. So, FWIW, I’d hold off on the testing.
