Is there somewhere on the boards that has the meanings of the all the acronyms? I don’t know what most of them mean.

Are there specific ones you need to know? I think we use so many we don’t realize it. LOL

here are some starters…

GER- Gastroesphegal reflux

MSPI- Milk/Soy Protein Intolerance

MFPI- Multiple Food Protein Intolerance

BF- breastfed/breastfeeding

FF- formula fed/formula feeding

DD- dear daughter

DS- dear son

LO- little one

hopefully that helps some!!! I think you can look some more up somehwere on this site, but someone more ‘technical’ will have to help you out with that. LOL

Some others that I think you were asking about from another post:

SLP – speech language pathologist

NPO – nothing by mouth

NG tube- nasogastric tube (feeding tube that goes into the nose and down the throat and into the stomach)

PEG tube – percutaneous eso(something) gastric tube (I really should know that one as I learned it in school, but it is a feeding tube that is inserted into the tummy right into the stomach vs going through the nose.

I don’t remember if there were more you were asking about. We all take it for granted that others may not always “know what we mean”
