Prevacid suspension

Hi! My 6.5 month old is on prevacid for his acid reflux. I’ve noticed that it quits working after the liquid suspension it is mixed in by the pharmacy gets 3 days old. What is the best way to give prevacid? It works great for us when it’s fresh! Also, I’m supposed to give it to him 2x per day. What are your recommendations for timing with meals?

there’s so much to say about PPIs and little ones!

you don’t have to time w/ a suspension- you’re RIGHT they don’t last!!

there’s a way to TELL them to make it so that it lasts a week – TELL them to make it this way- in the meantime, you can ‘make’ your own by using zegerid-

zegerid isn’t prevacid, though, it’s prilosec
