Prevacid-other foods to mix

My 16 month old was on Prevacid for 3 months and it was a battle to get him to eat the applesauce 30 min-1 hr. before a meal. We went off for a month and the reflux is definitely back so we’re going back on it. What can I mix it with besides applesauce or yogurt? Are there different meds I shoudl try that are easier to administer (not having to time with a meal?)

What form are you using. I am guessing capsules since you are giving with an acidic food. You can give with about 10ml of apple juice or some moms use the baby food pears. Is there a reason you can’t use the solutabs? They taste great and therefore you can just give them. My little guy got off them at 16 months, but we by then were just giving it to him and he would “suck” on it until it dissolved and then we fed 30 min or so later. HTH.
