My DS is 3.5 months old and was recently prescribed Zantac for discomfort. He’d been arching for a long time, but as long as he gained weight, the doctors had said it was fine. But I was concerned about acid coming back up and hurting him and making him uncomfortable. He is formula fed (please don’t judge-I have tubular breasts and tried to breast feed).
Anyway, the doctor made it sound like she thinks DS will outgrow this as soon as he can sit up.
Does this sound reasonable, or is this something doctors just tell parents to placate them? I ask because I read about kids having reflux up until age 2.
On a side note, DS sleeps pretty well at night (once he falls asleep), and naps well if kept on a strict schedule. His worst feeds are in the afternoon, when he is most active. His best feeds are at night when he’s sleepy.
