Older child GI issue

My daughter is 8 and has had the gas/reflux/constipation/belly pain since birth, she is on medication but not helping much at all. GI today ordered blood work and the scope test. I know a lot of you have mentioned this, any feedback on the test? What it’s like, what to expect, what I do there? Happy we are hopefully getting somewhere! Maybe some insight to my 2 mos old problems!

scope test as in endoscopy?

to do a search: there’s the ‘search’ button located in the upper right hand corner of the screen

you put the key word/s you’re searching for [for this I put ‘endo’]

then you choose “Topic Subject” from the drop- down menu of “Search In”

then I like to choose “All Forums” from the drop- down menu of “Search Forum”

then I like to choose “Topic Start Date” from the drop- down menu of “Sort Results By” (this way I get all the posts from the past that might help me)

Hey there! my 8 year just went through the test. She was always up and had belly aches as a baby too. She developed more problems while dealing with our new refluxer this past year. We went to a pediatric surgery center that had a non-threatening environment. They did the scope and took biopsies. They also inserted the ph probe which gave us valuable information. They found out she was refluxing more at night and then they adjusted her medication higher before bed time. Now she sleeps through the night. She is on 30 mgs. of the solutabs and doesn’t have tummy aches either. The worst part of the procedure was the ph probe, but I would ask for one. Good luck!
