Hey all – anyone have experience with an infant on Nutramigen formula having very loose bowel movements, almost diahrrea? Any ideas how this problem can be solved? Thanks!

yes nutri and alimentum have these effects on most babies, talk to your doctor.

It sounds normal to me too. They also smell horrible.

It’s something about it being pre-digested, i.e. the proteins are already broken down. Brodie also had soft (loose) greenish stools on Alimentum and my dr. said this was normal.

When Alana was on Pepti-Jnr- the same kind of thing- her bowel mvts were so loose they soaked into the nappy at times. Nothing I tried could change that- even when I thickened her formula (specifically to thicken the BM) that didn’t work!
