well we had Sawyer 7 weeks ago and he has actually been doing quite well. No screaming while nursing. Though he has had been sleeping pretty good at night we are seeing him spitting up a lot more. Not like Ryder did with the projectile vomit but he does seem to be in more pain. Kinda of like Ryder. her starting to do the small cat naps which he wasn’t doing before. Like tonight and last night he slept 5 hours—and will sometimes sleep 7-8 but he then woke up and 5 and nursed and I think he slept for one hour and woke cranky. I know as soon as I picked him up he burped and spit up a good amount but now after about a hour of being awake he is a sleep in our bed ( looking mighty cute I may add!) I do think he is gaining well. Though he has really watery stools- granted he is 100% breastfed….I can’t remeber what it’s like at 7 weeks. 🙂 Ryder did have blood in his stool but I couldn’t actually see it the Dr had to test it.

So should I start worrying again? Ryder had food allergies and I really pray that isn’t what is going on

well, not to worry you, but painful spitting up and sleep disurbance can be a sign of intolerance. he sounds like he’s doing pretty good otherwise, making it to 7 weeks without major issues though! I’d probably just keep an eye on him for another week or so and if things get hairy (LOL) then maybe i’d try elimination diet or food diary?

sorry I couldn’t be more help. I completely understand the frustration of food allergies & intolerances having 2 boys with them!!

and btw- Congrats on your new addition!!!

we did call and get a Rx for axid which Ryder is still on so it just makes it easier right now for us 🙂
