I haven’t posted in a while. I just wanted to share some great news. After 10 months of a very restrictive diet, emotional breakdowns and Nexium shooting out of the syringe all over the room, Blake seems to be reflux free. I stopped nursing him and he eats everything – dairy, gluten, soy, citrus, etc. Yay! He does not take the Nexium anymore, either. I know that not all babies just get over reflux, but some do, and there is hope. I never thought the day would come, but it did. It’s been a loooooong road, but we made it.
The one interesting thing is that Blake refuses to drink out of a bottle, or drink formula out of a bottle or cup. I have to mix the formula in his food just to get him to eat some. If he tastes the formula, he won’t eat the food. I think that has to do with the fact that I nursed him exclusively for so long. I guess I shouldn’t complain if that’s the only problem I have now.
Good luck to everyone. Hang in there!
