We had Maddens BM tested and no blood-PHEW!!! With Ryder we had blood in his stool. Our pedi GI knew right away that meant allergies so this time we don’t have blood in BM.
The reason why I started TED was last Thursday night he was up to 2 screaming– this isn’t really how is normally- granted yes he gets cranky, but never like this.
He has been congested for like a month and his eyes always seem red- well only one eye. When he first came home he was sleeping a lot better and now within the last week till now things have gotten worse. He ias currently 9.3lbs so he is gaining and his on Axid at .6 MLs which I think could be raised but of course you know how Drs are ( we are currently only seeing our normal pedi- no GI yet)How long till you see improvement on TED? Do I really need to be doing it- or should I just take out all dairy-hidden aand otherwise? and soy – since that’s what bothered Ryder.
He is no where near how bad Ryder was- but you can tell he is uncomfortable.
The night he was up till 2 -I had cheese and crackers that day. I have in the past been able to drink some milk and didn’t seem to have that much of reaction…… ughhhMay 11, 2010 at 7:35 pm #66328hellbenntKeymasterhow is poop? normal mustardy seedy breastfed baby poop?
mucousy? can look like snot or jelly or slimey or stringy?
gas?
straining to poop and then when it comes out it’s soft?
it may or may not be mspi.
you might want to try a PPI at proper dose & see if that helps (you can buy meds OTC…) or you might want to ‘just’ go ahead and see if diet works?May 12, 2010 at 8:21 am #66330AnonymousInactiveI don’t think he is constipated he seems to have normal poops. he is going every day to every other day.
It looks like normal poops to me……..
He is spitting up a lot less but last night every time I went to put him to bed he would wake up and -of course he is sleeping in a boiuncy chair and right now he wants to sleep with us- last night he tried to nurse from 9:30-12:30 last night. YIKES! then he would keep falling asleep but you could see him startle then wake and he would spit up…… I am going to fight for the PPI since I really feel like the Axid isn’t working.How long till you see improvement on prevacid? Gosh this all happend 3.5 year ago with Ryder and I remeber NOTHING!
May 12, 2010 at 7:19 pm #66332hellbenntKeymastermost often, mspi is ‘seen’ w/ the poops- if poops are normal and gas is normal then it just might be reflux that is neither due to mspi nor exacerbated by mspi…
using this chart,
http://www.sfca.co.uk/match/kilolbs.htm
tell me his weight in kilos, and we can figure out axid dose, as you fight for PPI (again, I am NOT a medical professional, but you CAN get prevacid over-the-counter nowadays…)
axid dose is here:
