We are seeing a new pediatrician tomorrow afternoon… We’ve been
getting increasingly unhappy with our current Ped – we like her but not
the practice (huge practice) and even she isn’t as helpful anymore. So
we are driving out 45 minutes to see my SIL’s Ped who also has a gastro
sub-specialty as Marisa has been really off. The past few weeks she has
been increasingly cranky and eating has gone way up and down. But the
past few days have been more extreme – yesterday she only had 10 ounces
formula (as opposed to usually 20 or more) and maybe 4 ounces jarred
fruit. She’s been really congested/runny nose and not acting like
herself – very tired, not as playful and active, VERY cranky and
clingy. But it doesn’t seem like a reflux thing – her burps and spitups
aren’t bothering her, no arching, fine on back, etc. She’s sleeping a
TON but for naps (she’s been napping for 2.5 hours already today) and
at night, which is great – but we are getting concerned with how tired
she is combined with the lack of eating and crankiness…
Anyway, wish us luck tomorrow and I’ll post an update tomorrow night.
