We had our neuro apt today. As usually it was a long wait for a pretty short apt. It helped to ease my mind, so it was worth it. He said the thing Sebastian does with his head does not sound like a seizure. He said it sounds like an involuntary muscle spasm or a tick, and that ticks do not usually show up in babies.
He is pretty sure that it is from the reflux. Of course he had to make the annoying comment that his reflux must not be too bad, because he is a good size.
He told us to try to get him doing the head thing on tape. I have been trying for a month now, and it is really hard. He only does it for a few seconds and by the time the camera warms up he is done. I will have to try keeping the camera on for a while and hope that I can catch something. He told me to follow up with our ped and if it does not go away he will do an EEG. I am glad that he did not think it was very serious, but it still would be nice to have a definite answer. We see the GI on Sept. 5 so maybe she will be able to do something more for him.
