We’ve been on Neocate nearly a month now. My son seems to be doing great on it. Much happier!
I know the poop changes. In the beginning it was weird sticky globs of green, black, and yellow. I assumed this was normal transitiony stuff. I got used to it.
Suddenly the poo is different in jsut the past couple days. Its like thin grey mud, with yellow seedies. I cloth diaper, and this is a pain in the butt. The transitiony stuff i could spray off with the diaper sprayer, this new thin stuff soaks right through.. so theres no spraying it off. Its hard to wash out. I dont’ notice ANY mucous anymore though, so i guess that is a victory. Is this thin consistancy normal? I thought neocate babies were supposed to be constipated. His reflux also seems a little worse over the past couple days, and he’s eating more.
He does have a head cold… i don’t know if that would affect anything. The only thing he has had other than his pepcid and his neocate, was some tylenol when he had a fever.
