Need Help- new

hello I am new to this forum,
extremely frustrated and depressed first time mom whose baby (6 month old) with severe GERD. My baby wont take any feeds when awake, he has to be in deep sleep when we can try to slip in the bottle in his mouth. He may suck for few times and then push out the bottle after 1 min of suck. each feeding lasts for about 1-1.5hrs for 2-3 oz bottle. His daily intake has dropped down tremendously to 15 oz/day (max) with only 1 tablespoon of solids/day. Few months back he used to take 6 oz each feed to atleast 25 oz/day. I am extremely scared that he will drop off his growth chart.
He is currently on Prevacid( started about 7 days ago) 7.5mg twice along with mylanta supreme 2.5ml before each feed. Zantac does not work for him. He is throwing up a lot too.
Our GI is not very helpful and he wants t scope him after having normal barium UGI. Feeding therapist in this town couldnt help us too :(((
My concern is since he has food aversion, I would appreciate any advice.
I am scared and not sure if he will ever grow out of this sleep fed and ever take a bottle when awake. we are also planning to go to DC childrens to see Dr. Chatoor regarding this- did anyone has any experience with her?
really need help from any mom who was in similar boat……..

hmm…well scope would give you more information- like how severe is the irritation in there? are there eos cells? these would show allergy/intolerance to protein in diet, is their esophogeal thrush (not as uncommon as one would think)…
