OK…for a few days Alana has been getting up on her knees and hands then falling flat on her face (Alana flat nose). Well today she finally got the hang of moving—-backwards! I know that forwards is just around the corner. I am just sooooo excited. It must be hard work to get her “beer belly” of the ground. Given Alana was a prem I am always a bit worried about her development (well worry is what I am exceptionally good at and I try really hard to hone the skill). So I am sooooo excited. Yess I am soooo excited
BTW I don’t give Alana beer it is just another aussyism ( or maybe you get beer belly’s in US)
Yea for Alana!!!! Yep, we do get beer bellies in the US – unfortunately I can not trace my belly to too much beer – maybe too many chips but they never call it a chip belly. Anyway, I’m rambling – that is such great news – it’s so much fun watching them crawl!!
YAY Alana!! That’s fantastic! I really enjoyed having Sarah become “mobile” because she can entertain herself so much easier. I hope you find that to be true too. The “moving from station to station” game was getting old for us before she started crawling…5 minutes on the floor, 5 minutes sitting up, 5 minutes in her jumper…It’s SOOOO great now!
I always say Sarah has a “Budha Belly” (sp?) When she sits she looks like the idol statues of Budha!
Amy, I sooo get the Buhda…that has been mentioned a few times in our house.
Christine…no I haven’t even thought of the babyproofing. My goodness…this weekend I am going to have to move things from shelves, go shopping for things to keep the cupboards closed etc.
I’m hoping the chasing all over the house will help with losing some of my buhda belly (like mother like daughter…we love food)
Oh, just wait until she starts getting into things….and climbing. I thought it was cute at first too Gabby started crawling fast two weeks ago and I hadn’t gotten around to babyproofing. The time sure flies, doesn’t it?
