How much can you give to an infant?

And how often..once a day?

I was told by my ped to give 1/4 tsp 2 times a day when Isaac was 2 or 3 months old.

We were told by Ped GI 1/4 tsp up to 6 times a day. It will cause loose stools if you give too much, so you will know when you have over done it.

We were told 1/2 tsp 3-4 times a day.

We were told that we could put 1/4 tsp in every bottle. At the time she was eating every two hours, so that would have been up to 12 times a day. Every bottle caused diarrhea, but we put 1/4 tsp in every other bottle. It worked out to be about 4 to 6 times a day.

At 6 months, we were told 1/4 to 1/2 tsp up to 6 times a day. We would tend to give more right before bed.
