My son is my little angel and my hero. After being in so much pain from reflux and indigestion, he is still such a sweet, patient, and relaxed little baby! After a week and a half on Alimentum, an increased dose of zantac, and occasional Mylanta, Fernando is finally eating without any pain or discomfort. I have started to feel less anxious while feeding him and I can actually have conversations with people or watch a little t.v. as I feed him. Last night, he slept all night, YES ALL NIGHT!!! He only awoke once for his pacifier and went right back to sleep!!!! It feels so good to see my baby sleeping peacefully without any pain. Today he had an upper GI series test, and the x ray machine broke down in the middle of it. Fernando had already drank the barium so the doctor kept him on his left side while they tried to fix the machine so the barium wouldn’t digest as quickly. Fernando waited patiently for 1/2 hour, playing with my hands and looking and smiling at me and my husband while they tried to fix it. Eventually, we had to go to a different room and use a different x ray machine. Fernando was so relaxed and the doctors were amazed that he was so calm, happy, and patient! Today, I had so much energy that I was like speedy gonzales as I cleaned my house (finally- there was a lot of dust!!!) I don’t know how long this will last, but today felt soooooo good! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I am re-energized! Thank you to all for your support!
P.S. His pediatrician had originally told me to give him maalox and Fernando got really bad diarrhea from it. I told this to the GI and the GI said not to give it to him anymore. On this website I learned about Mylanta cherry supreme. I tried giving it to Fernando and guess what?? NO MORE DIARRHEA! I think it’s the aluminum in the maalox because that is the ingredient that is not in Mylanta. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
