He just ate the juice in banana so let’s see..LOVED the taste! He will drink from an open cup-actually tries to take ours all the time. Would really like him to drink from sippy as I’m still nervous about transitioning from bottle-he just hates to drink so much. Wont drink much today at all and baby einstein isn’t even keeping him focused. He’s able to use straw cup-but I’m too chicken with it. When I was younger, I walked into a wall with a straw cup and was rushed to hospital gushing blood. Terrifies me of what my rambunctous little boy could do to himself. It’s so true-who knows what’s going on in his little mind or body. Cold, reflux, virus, allergies….I give up! I’m just going with the flow!

was sucking so hard from the straw cup outside in this heat – can’t
blame her. Have you tried a soft straw cup? We use the Playtex soft
straw cup (with flip top to close) and love love love it.Hope he feels well soon – keep me posted!

So I think it’s maybe combo sorbitol/gassy. I gave him 2 oz-maybe start him slower next time? Do you know if it can be diluted? He’s pretty on edge right now-reminds us of the day he had too much pear juice.
I’ll look into the cup. Sounds great! Does she take formula from it too? Are you giving any bottles now?

high amount of fiber – but he definitely seems sensitive to juice. She will take a little formula from it – we still are doing 3 bottles a
day – but she has a little formula from the cup with lunch (1-2 ounces)
and otherwise juice or water from it.June 1, 2006 at 7:21 pm #8975AnonymousInactiveActually he had to have apple juice for his ph probe- a couple of times and 4 oz each- and had no reaction at all. Pear juice though (months ago however) was just awful! Prune was always – seemingly- ok. He’s also trialing pears right now and up to 1 jar so who knows. I think we’ll back off for a few days until he feels better overall then start slowly.
Really pleased for you on the cup! I would love for Ian to be able to have something in hand when it’s hot outside like today! I’m going to start chilling his bottles for sure.

content – just dilute for now – one ounce water to one ounce juice and
go up from there? Great with the pears! She’s only OK on holding it on her own for now but getting there. Soon
I’d like to drop the afternoon bottle and replace it with the straw cup
and a snack. The only bottle she’s truly interested in is her morning
bottle – the afternoon and night ones I often have to do in front TV –
she’s just not interested – once she gets better with the cup may try
to slowly switch over. -
