I went off dairy, soy, eggs, and fish one week ago….because those are my four “suspect” foods thus far for my little one…..so far at least! 😉 My son’s GI wants me to go 2 more weeks this way, and then we’ll do new stool samples to see if my son is improving. (History of mucousy stool, as well as visable blood. Stool sample tests revealed white blood cells in stool as well as red blood cells. They suspect allergic colitis?)
The problem I’m having is with me. My tummy is not happy with this new “diet”. My tummy often feels unsettled, and I’m having bouts of diarrhea. Has anyone else experienced this when going on the MSPI or TED diets? Is there anything I can do to help? I started using probiotics (hypoallergenic, of course) to see if that helped settle me down. I am drinking rice milk, because I prefer the flavor over almond milk. But I seem to feel worse after the rice milk. They say rice is hypoallergenic….but maybe it’s not settling well with me? Or maybe my body is just adjusting to the change.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

I would try the TED, BUT rice might be a culprit, so maybe try the TED and then after 4 or 5 days try some rice and see what happens…I was going to suggest trying probiotics- they can make you wonky at first- look at the info in this link- there are 2 links about starting probiotics and what can happen at first
