MPSI? Inflamation of intestine…

DD just had a boatload of tests. Stool and blood. Her GI doc said there was inflamation in her intestine & protein that indicates a milk protien allergy.

She has had terrible reactions to both milk based and soy formulas (soy is even worse than milk).

She’s BF now & I once drank a soy latte that gave her green diarrea for a week.

So does this sound like a MSPI (?) to you? If so should I start eliminating from my diet?

He suggested weaning & going to Nutramigin, but I’m not ready to wean & that stuff is expensive!

sounds like allergy to me…

if you want to continue breastfeeding, which it sounds like you do, then I would eliminate all milk & soy from your diet.

you might just want to go all the way and cut everything out by doing the elimination diet and then slowly adding things back in, just not milk or soy…or, you could cut milk & soy out completely for 3 weeks and then think aobut what, if anything else, you might want to try eliminating- eliminations can be done by cutting out everything & slowly adding things back in or it can be done by eliminating one thing at a time- it’s up to you…either way it looks like you won’t be having any milk or soy proteins for a bit
