Ok, so I was reading on another site, made by an RN who has a book titled “MSPI Guidebook/Cookbook” (http://www.mspiguide.com) that soy oils and lecithin are ok because they are fats. I seem to have heard this hear before, but I couldn’t find it exactly now that I’m looking, so it was good to see somewhere else too. I was considering ordering the book, but it seems like it’s more for women who are breastfeeding, recipes that they can eat. I may try to get it anyway since the guidebook part would be good I’m sure, but just getting this confirmation on the oils was good for me–should make finding a “safe” butter easier!
