Marci-kids.com is an organization that does research on acid reflux in children. I don’t know how they receive their funding, but would hope that it’s from the University of Missouri. They advocate for high dosing of PPIs, higher than other sources, and are the highest I’ve ever seen. I’ve read some of the supporting literature, and from what I’ve read, PPIs do seem quite safe, so if a lower dose hasn’t worked and you need to try something else, I might give it a try. For some reason, 30mg prevacid seems to be a “magic number” for a lot of babies. Hailey is taking her prevacid in CaraCream which is made by marci-kids and I’ve been really happy with it. It’s the only thing that’s worked for her. Good luck.
