Well, after trying every sippy cup on the market (I think literally), I’ve finally found a sippy that works great for us. And would you believe it’s the cheapest one out there! It’s one of the First Years ones (I think they’re semi-disposable or something). They come 6 or 8 in a pack, but the key is the size. We tried the medium size before, but I had to hold them for Hailey and she didn’t like it. But this time I bought the really small 5 oz ones, and they have these grooves along the sides that make it easy for her to hold by herself. Now if only I could get her to drink something other than water!!!

Just thought I’d pass along the recommendation.

I have seen those ones, I will have to try. Tyler is absolutely hopeless with his sippy cups. He chokes on all of them. I usually use a straw cup as he wont tip up the ones with the spout and no water comes out. My daughter could never work out how to tip up the spout cups to get the water out but she was fine with a straw cup. Tyler also gets the water in his mouth and then just lets it run out his mouth and down the front of him, he has to have a change of clothes every time he has a drink! so frustrating…..

Thanks for the reccomendation! We have tried 7 sippy cups at this point and he won’t hold or drink out of any of them!

I have those too and have high hopes for them – but M is still confused by them… Will just keep trying!

Hailey has hated all other sippy cups. This one I just put down on her tray and went to prepare her lunch (we still prepare food for her even though she doesn’t eat it), and when I came back, she was holding it in her hand and sucking back the water by herself. I was floored!!! Thing is she’ll only take water from it, but at least it keeps her hydrated.

Dylan as well only did well on these, and then the first years non disposable ones as well.

I also could be in the sippy cup business!

Today I tried putting some vanilla enfagrow (like pediasure) in her sippy. She took one sip and threw the thing across the room.

I’ll have to try those. Jonathan won’t tip up the sippy either and at 13 months, it seems like he should be able to handle it, don’t you think? He’ll drink from it if I hold it like it was a bottle.

Where do you get the straw cups? He likes using the ones we get at the restaurant, but I haven’t seen anything like that for sale.
